Carta Group was established in 2008 by Paul and Chrissi Hayward, following their sale of Saywell Group, a long-time highly successful furniture distribution business in Australia and New Zealand. The goal was for Carta to specialise in high quality, small-to-medium residential projects in inner suburban Melbourne.
Working initially with leading architectural practices CHT Architects and Neil Architecture, Carta Group quickly made a mark on the industry with innovative projects in Kensington (Centennial Apartments) and Richmond (Hull Apartments).
Projects subsequently completed include August Apartments and Access Apartments — both in Balwyn — and 290 Bridge, a commercial / residential development in Richmond.
Additionally, two other projects — Patch Apartments in Clifton Hill and 344 Johnston in Abbotsford — were profitably on-sold with Planning Permits.
Three exciting new Projects — Newry St Richmond, Alexandra Parade East — Clifton Hill, and Battery Point (Tasmania) are currently in the Carta pipeline.

The mission of Carta Group is to produce outstanding residential projects in inner suburban Melbourne that offer both quality and strong investment value to owner-occupiers and investors alike.
Concentrating on key factors such as location, quality construction, and affordability, CEO Paul Hayward has a hands-on approach to all aspects of each project, with a personal commitment to deliver above and beyond buyer expectations.
